Overseas is a family summer house that was originally built in 1927 and rebuilt in 1982. In 2014 it was totally renovated to a high standard and is now offered for holiday accommodation. Set in a superb location, Overseas perches on the hillside over Trebarwith Strand with great views of the sea. Just 300 metres from the beach and the South West coastal path this property is perfect for a summer seaside holiday and cosy winter hideaway.

The house is set over two floors, the ground floor features a living room with views up and across the valley, and out to sea, furnished for four people to sit around a cast iron electric stove (!) or at the oak dining table. The kitchen is small but very well equipped (including dishwasher and washing machine, fridge and separate freezer) and there is a modern shower room (with walk in shower, basin and heated towel rail and WC).

Upstairs are two pretty attic bedrooms, one with a king sized bed (and balcony overlooking the sea), the other a twin room with beds that can be pushed together to make double (and balcony looking up the valley). In the centre of the house there is a hall, which leads onto a suntrap veranda, where there is decking, a terrace garden, a BBQ and outdoor dining area to enjoy both the beautiful Cornish sunrise and sunset.

The décor reflects the origins and purpose of the renovated house. The walls are (mostly) painted crisp white keeping the rooms light and airy while the old Overseas lives on in the doors, the exposed eaves and artworks from the original family bungalow. The upstairs is carpeted while the downstairs has wooden floorboards, making it easy to clean after people come up from the beach or down from the coastal walkways!

The property provides comfortable accommodation for four people; it is best suited for a small family or one or two couples. It is not suitable for children under the age of five years. There are about 30 steps up to the property and although they are securely railed, care needs to be taken to supervise small children on them and on the deck. Unfortunately the steps make this property unsuitable for disabled visitors.

Changeover day is Friday during the peak season with flexibility at all other times and for short breaks (3 night minimum stay); please contact us for more information.

TV: Smart TV that can be used with BBC iplayer and a Netflix account provided for guest use. HDMI cable available to connect TV to laptops,
Private parking for two cars,
Electric (night storage) heating plus a cast iron electric stove for winter evenings,
Cost of all utilities included in the rental price,
Welcome pack provided,
Outside WC and shower for wetsuits, wellies and walking boots,
No smoking inside the house and no pets allowed.

Cautionary Deposit: £100 payable with balance and refundable after departure. To cover excess cleaning required and breakages.
