Martha's Harbour is a spacious but cosy traditional Cornish cottage situated in the heart of the small hamlet of Treknow. About a mile from the beautiful sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand and a mile and a half from historic Tintagel. The coastal path is just up the lane and offers spectacular views over the surrounding coastline.

The property has been totally renovated by the new owners over 2015/16 and now provides a very contemporary 'New England' style property with generous sized rooms, high ceilings and tasteful furnishings. The property is nestled in the heart of the hamlet but is very secluded with a high garden wall all around.

The accommodation offers a light and airy, open-planned lounge/kitchen/dining room with views over the garden, wood burner, ample seating and well equipped kitchen. The TV has freeview provided and there is also internet access. DVD player too. There is a house phone with call advice so you can pay for calls.
There are three bedrooms, two on the ground floor have 'zip and link' beds which can be made up either as a double or twin singles, and one bedroom on the first floor with a double bed. All bedrooms have window shutters for complete privacy.
The upstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (bath with shower over, basin and WC) and there is also a shower room downstairs (large shower enclosure, basin and WC).
There is a useful, spacious entrance lobby (probably once the kitchen as it has the original cast iron range) where you can store beach gear and surfboards.

Outside there is a pretty and private garden, surrounded by a high wall and laid to patio paving and borders.
In addition, at the entrance to the cottage is a small courtyard and outbuilding where guests could safely store any outdoor items.

There is no private parking space for the cottage but cars may be parked on the roadside anywhere in the village and one may be parked in the farmer's field just up the lane.

All costs for electricity included in rental prices.
Heating via remotely controlled electric radiators.
Logs not provided for wood burner but easily available locally in small quantities.
Bed linen and house towels (not beach towels) provided (except for travel cot if required).
Kitchen has all usual facilities plus dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and large fridge freezer.
Dogs may be considered - please give details and request.
We request a breakage/damage/excess cleaning deposit of £100 per booking which will be refunded (according to cleanliness and standard of property) after your departure. We hope visitors will appreciate that the need for this deposit reflects the very high standard of accommodation provided.
